WNC Receives Automotive SPICE CL2 Certification from TUV NORD Taiwan

Hsinchu, October 6, 2023 – Wistron NeWeb Corp. (WNC) recently received Automotive SPICE (Software Process Improvement and Capability Determination) CL2 certification from TUV NORD Taiwan, proof that its ability in automotive software development and quality control has reached the highest level of industry standards. A presentation ceremony was held at WNC headquarters at which Fayu Chen, WNC SVP and General Manager of the Automotive, Module & Antenna Business Group (AMA BG), received the certificate from Jack Ye, Vice President of TUV NORD Greater China and General Manager of TUV NORD Taiwan Co., Ltd.
Automotive SPICE is an industry standard jointly developed by international automotive manufacturers. The standard aims to ensure that all personnel participating in the development processes of automotive software and components follow best practices to minimize product risks. As an internationally recognized gold standard for software and firmware development, Automotive SPICE has been adopted by a growing number of automotive manufacturers and suppliers worldwide.
Not only has WNC's AMA BG obtained Automotive SPICE CL2 certification, but several employees within the BG also received Automotive SPICE intacs™ Provisional Assessor certification in July this year. Fayu Chen said, "WNC is committed to the R&D of innovative automotive electronic products, enhancement of product value, and talent cultivation. We have obtained IATF 16949, ISO/SAE 21434, and Automotive SPICE CL2 certification, and we expect to receive TISAX AL2 certification by the end of this month. These international certifications not only recognize our R&D capabilities in automotive electronics but will also help us tap into the supply chains of tier-1 automotive manufacturers."
With an eye on building customer trust, WNC will use the experience gained from incorporating the Automotive SPICE standard into its projects to optimize development processes, allowing it to pursue innovation while meeting customer expectations using strict quality and reliability standards.
